Devdutt Padikkal: Facts, Life, Career and Teams
Devdutt Padikkal was born on July 7, 2000, in Edappal, Kerala, and later moved to Bangalore to pursue cricket.
He debuted in first-class cricket for Karnataka during the 2018–19 Ranji Trophy.
In the 2019–20 season, he was the leading run-scorer in both Vijay Hazare Trophy and Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.
He made his IPL debut in 2020 for Royal Challengers Bangalore, scoring 473 runs and winning the Emerging Player Award.
Padikkal made his T20 International debut for India against Sri Lanka on July 28, 2021.
He scored his maiden IPL century (101* off 52 balls) on April 22, 2021, for RCB against Rajasthan Royals.
He scored his first-class century (178 runs) in March 2022 against Puducherry during the Ranji Trophy.
After stints with RCB and Rajasthan Royals, he was traded to Lucknow Super Giants for the 2024 IPL season.
